Jesse has always been inspired by living his life surrounded by the beauty found in nature and using his hands to create work that mirrors that beauty in one’s home. With a passion for craftmanship and hearty love for challenges, Jesse was inspired to delve into fine woodworking in 2018 by building from scratch his own samurai workbench. He began studying the art of woodworking with hand tools soon after and realized his innate passion and talent for fine woodworking were moving him to pursue a career in this work. In 2020, Jesse began an in depth formal training with master woodworker Tom Dolese at Terra Firma Designs where he honed in his skills to develop custom commission pieces and woodworking instruction (learn more about Tom Dolese and Terra Firma Designs: www.terrafirmadesignnw.com). Jesse expanded out and founded Northern Magnolia Designs to continue to create exceptional woodworking furniture and instruction in the beautiful setting of Bellingham, Washington.
