Woodworking Classes
Our woodworking classes provide students with a unique opportunity for intensive training instruction and workbench time so that you can create a beautiful piece of your own. Whether you are wanting to jump-start your woodworking skills, need an in-depth refresher course, or are wanting to make your own piece of furniture for your home, we are sure to have a class that will work for you!

Rocking Chair Class: Mar 13-Mar 17
In this weeklong class you’ll build a rocking chair while learning the basics of how we approach making furniture. We supply the wood and assume that it’s everyone’s first exposure to woodworking. Cost of this class is 1500 dollars. The class goes from 9am to 5:30pm each day with a break for lunch. A $250 deposit is required to reserve your spot in the class. Taught by Jesse and Cass.

Coffee Table Class: Apr 17-Apr 21
In this week long class you’ll learn how to process wood (making it certain dimensions), glue up a table top and some designs aspects. You’ll also learn how to cross-cut angles and complete joinery that’s brings everything together. Taught by me, Jesse, the class will go from 9a-5p. All materials are provided. As with all our other class no previous woodworking experience is needed.
Cost: $1,250. A $250 deposit is required to reserve your spot in the class.

Hand Tool Introduction: Apr 26-Apr 28
In this three day course I’ll be teaching the basics of hand tools and their uses. You’ll learn about and how to use saws, planes, chisels, along with sharpening and a great method for cutting a dovetail joint. All of which takes time and practice to develop, this class will get you started on the right path. Taught by me, Jesse, the class will go from 9a to 5p with a break for lunch.
Cost: $750. A $250 deposit is required to reserve your spot in the class.

One On One Class
I offer one on one opportunities for people to learn and build many different pieces. From dressers to chairs, to end tables to coffee tables, to all kinds of other pieces. Want help designing a new piece? I can help you do that in the shop. I charge $65 dollars an hour for one on one instruction. There are a selection of dining chairs, rockers, easy chairs and occasional chairs that you can either copy or use as a starting place for your own design or we can work together to find inspiration to create a piece just for you.
Cost: $65 per hour

Dining Chair Class: TBD
In this weeklong class you’ll learn the principles of how we build relatively complicated furniture pieces efficiently and precisely while building your own chair. The class goes from 9 am to 5:30 pm each day with a break for lunch. All materials are provided. As with all of our classes, no previous woodworking experience is required.

Adjustable Back Chair: TBD
This chair (and ottoman) is a great exercise in woodworking and makes for a comfortable and attractive addition to your living room or den. Expect to begin on Monday at 9am and work until around 5:30 through the week (Friday) with a break for lunch. You’ll have your own bench station and can leave your things there for the week. All materials are provided. Cost of the class is $1500 dollars. A deposit of $500 dollars secures your place in the class. If you aren’t able to make the class we refund if we are able to refill the class.
Cost: $1,500. A $500 deposit is required to reserve your spot in the class.
